On April 18, in the village of Shumenci near Tutrakan, the new innovative museum site - the "Tutrakan Epic - 1916" Memorial - was officially opened.
The new museum-exhibition building includes a range of new technologies that immerse visitors in history and make them experience it firsthand. Information is presented through an exhibition and a 3D map of the events, along with a guided tour tailored to the age and knowledge of the audience.
The core of the museum exhibition is an interactive diorama where visitors will have the opportunity to emotionally and realistically experience the attack on the Tutrakan fortress in 1916. The exhibition provides a 360-degree experience of the battlefield.
Following the example of modern European museums, there is a thematic café where visitors can seek additional information from informational boards. The events in Dobrudzha are presented not as an isolated episode but in the context of global events. Therefore, the site is also suitable for extracurricular lessons for students from across the country.
For the youngest visitors to the museum, there is a children's corner with interactive activities, puzzles, and games.
